Tech giant Amazon was quick to remove a promotional video after a senior executive was filmed wearing a controversial necklace showing a Palestinian flag on a map of Israel.

“The violence and loss of life occurring every day in the Middle East is tragic, and at Amazon our hearts and thoughts are with any individual or community affected,” the statement said.

“Our management remains in regular contact with our teams based in the region to provide them with our support. The video shot was not intended to be a political statement, but we have removed it and will re-post a new one in the coming days.”

Borno’s LinkedIn profile, which has since been deleted, indicated that she was hired by AWS in November 2021, according to Fox Business. She also works as a Young Global Leader for the World Economic Forum. By clicking on his account also shows that it has been deleted.

Borno, of Palestinian descent, left Kuwait with his parents during the Gulf War in 1990. His family eventually settled in the United States
